Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Distribution Clerk/Packer to join our team at a Jamaican bakery and grocery business. This role involves managing the receipt and processing of orders, packing products for delivery, and supporting our supply chain to restaurants, wholesalers, and farmers markets. The ideal candidate will have strong computer literacy, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently. This position is essential in ensuring timely and accurate distribution of our authentic Jamaican products.
Duties
- Receive and process incoming orders from customers, including restaurants, wholesalers, and farmers markets.
- Prepare and pack products accurately according to order specifications to ensure quality and completeness.
- Assist with collecting payments and managing account receivables to support smooth financial transactions.
- Maintain organized records of orders, shipments, and payments using computer systems.
- Coordinate with delivery personnel or logistics partners to ensure timely dispatch of orders.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries related to orders, products, or delivery schedules.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards during packing and distribution processes.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages or discrepancies.
- Support other warehouse or distribution tasks as needed to ensure efficient operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a distribution, packing, or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including familiarity with order processing software and basic office applications.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude.
- Ability to accurately receive, process, and organize multiple orders simultaneously.
- Good physical stamina for packing and handling products regularly.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation or proximity to the work location is advantageous.

Pay: $13.50 - $16.00 per hour
