Job Overview
Seeking an experienced Dog Groomer to add to our team. Owner is a groomer and knows how to schedule without over booking groomers, to prevent unwanted stress. We are a small and growing salon that offers a kinder, less stressful grooming experience. Our goal is to provide a safe environment for pets and deliver exceptional customer service and grooming. Pay is based on level of experience. Position is Part Time Monday - Wednesday and every other Saturday. A transition to Full Time is a possibility after the 30 day probationary period is passed and there is sufficient clientele and business volume to support another Full Time Groomer. Holidays off include New Year's Day, Memorial Day Monday, July 4th, Labor Day Monday, Thanksgiving Day & Weekend & Christmas Day. PTO after 1 year of employment once a FT Employee.
Duties
- Provide grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs. Have knowledge of breeds and clips.
- Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any issues that may require veterinary attention.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs and any observed health concerns.
- Handle animals safely and humanely, employing proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort during grooming sessions.
- Provide excellent customer service by building rapport with clients and addressing their questions or concerns regarding pet care.
- Logging daily grooming notes into our Point of Sale.
Experience
- Previous groomer experience, skills in animal restraint, pet care, customer service, and animal handling are highly desirable.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
