Duties
- Manage cash drawer handling accurately, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and balanced at the end of each shift
- Operate the cash register efficiently, processing sales quickly and accurately
- Provide exceptional customer service by taking customer order accurately in person and over the phone and ensuring a welcoming environment
- Perform basic math calculations to verify transaction totals and give correct change
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area to promote a professional appearance
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to cash handling and customer interactions
Qualifications
- Prior experience in cashiering or retail is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Strong basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Ability to handle cash drawer responsibly and maintain accuracy under pressure
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
