Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Golden healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care for our pediatric clients in the school and home setting. This role requires a versatile nurse with at least 6 months experience and the desire to be part of a winning team that supports you and your client. The candidate will utilize their expertise in patient assessment, medication administration, medical documentation and team collaboration
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs and physical assessments
- Administer medications accurately while adhering to doctor's orders and individualized plan of care
- Perform specialized procedures such as catheterization, tube feeding, seizure management, diabetic management, and respiratory assessment and interventions
- Document all patient interactions thoroughly using electronic health record systems
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide education on disease management, medication use, nutrition, and health coaching tailored to patient and family needs
- Ensure infection control practices are maintained according to agency standards
Skills
- Patient assessment techniques including vital signs monitoring and physical examinations
- Excellent communication skills for working with diverse populations including children with disabilities or developmental delays
- Ability to work effectively in providing one to one care
- Follow and document the patient's plan of care
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies
- Perform routine assessments and monitor changes in condition
