Employment Type: Full-Time, W2 Employee
Compensation: $27.00 – $31.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Golden Home Access is a fast-growing accessibility contractor serving Northern California. We’re licensed general contractors who install essential safety and mobility equipment — like vertical platform lifts, stairlifts, and wheelchair ramps — to help older adults live safely and independently at home.
The Role
As an Installation Technician, you will be in charge of installing the stairlifts, wheelchair ramps, handrails, and grab bars in our customers’ homes. If you have direct experience with this, please email us at kevin@goldenhomeaccess.com and we will expedite your application.
As an early employee, you will be getting in on the ground floor and will also help us shape our processes and company culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Installation:Safely install and test residential stairlifts, modular wheelchair ramps, and grab bars according to manufacturer specifications.
- Troubleshooting:Diagnose and resolve basic mechanical or electrical issues during the installation process.
- Customer Service:You'll be working with elderly customers who have unique and sensitive needs. You will have to clearly communicate how the equipment works, ensuring they are comfortable and confident in using their new mobility solutions.
- Tech-Savvy:Use software to manage your schedule and work orders. Upload photos after the job is complete.
Qualifications
- Trade Experience: 2 years of experience in a technical field such asSolar Installation, Appliance Repair, HVAC, Garage Door Service, or General Construction.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Proficient with power tools and a basic understanding of residential construction.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with elderly clients and their families.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, work on ladders, and perform physical tasks associated with equipment assembly.
- Requirements: Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record (Required to operate the company vehicle).
