Golden Heart is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Insurance Authorization & Billing Specialist to join our growing team. This individual will play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive timely care by obtaining insurance authorizations and accurately managing the billing process for our home health agency.

Responsibilities
- Obtain and manage insurance prior authorizations for home health services.
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
- Submit accurate Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance claims.
- Monitor claim status and follow up on unpaid or denied claims.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and claim denials.
- Maintain accurate patient insurance and billing records.
- Work closely with clinical staff to ensure documentation supports billing requirements.
- Communicate with insurance companies regarding authorizations, appeals, and claim resolutions.
- Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and payer regulations.
- Assist with accounts receivable and reimbursement tracking.
- Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home health insurance billing and prior authorizations preferred.
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing.
- Experience with home health EMR/software systems is preferred.
- Strong understanding of insurance verification and authorization processes.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
