Golden Haven Care Center is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and hardworking Part-Time Housekeeping and Laundry Aide to join our team! This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents while supporting daily housekeeping and laundry operations.

Part-Time Schedule:

• Saturday: 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM
• Sunday: 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thursday: 6:00 AM - 12:30 PM

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Housekeeping Duties

• Clean resident rooms, hallways, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and common areas to ensure health and safety standards are met
• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and equipment
• Vacuum and clean carpets, rugs, upholstery, and draperies
• Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork as needed
• Empty wastebaskets and transport trash to designated disposal areas
• Replenish supplies such as linens, towels, toiletries, and bathroom items
• Keep housekeeping carts and storage areas stocked, organized, and clean
• Observe precautions to protect resident property and report any damage or lost items to supervisors
• Follow all cleaning schedules, sanitary procedures, and safety regulations
  
  
  

Laundry Duties

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident clothing and facility linens
• Label resident clothing items as needed
• Ensure an adequate supply of clean linens is available daily
• Inspect linens and remove damaged or stained items from service
• Maintain inventory of laundry supplies
• Operate laundry equipment safely and report equipment issues promptly
• Follow all infection control and sanitary procedures related to laundry services
  
  
  

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Previous housekeeping or laundry experience in a healthcare or senior living environment preferred
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Compassion and patience when working with seniors
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must meet all health requirements as required by state regulations
