Job Summary:
It is the duty of our drivers at Golden Gate Manor Inc. to be caring, reliable and responsible individuals. Our drivers are required to get clients with mobility challenges to their destinations safely and on time.
Job Responsibilities:
- Show up to work in a timely manner.
- Take driving assignments from dispatcher for client trips.
- Must pick up clients at the scheduled time from their home or other facilities.
- Will provide door to door service when noted on trip record.
- Only provide physical Aid support or assistance and oral directions to clients as needed.
- Assist clients as they get into and out of the vehicle. Never leave clients alone in vehicle.
- Document and complete daily trip logs that includes data for every member scheduled for transportation.
- Report back to the dispatcher when clients have been dropped off at their destination.
- Communicate any traffic delays on route back to dispatcher.
- Make notes of incidents or accidents and report those to the dispatcher.
- Adhere to company policies and protocol.
- Must adhere to all federal, state and agency rules regarding HIPAA Requirements.
Qualifications
- Must have previous customer service experience with a good track record of assisting customers in a thoughtful, caring, and timely manner.
- Show Empathy, Compassion and Customer Service
- Must be passionate about helping people.
- Be at least 26 years of age.
- Must possess a valid Colorado Drivers License
- Have a clean driving record
- Have flexible schedule as Start and End times may change throughout the week

- Know how to keep a level head in a busy environment.

- Great communication skills
- A good working knowledge of counties that we transport to
- First Aid & CPR
- PASS certified (Passenger Assistance Safety & Sensitivity)
- Defensive Driver certification.
Additional Notes
For this position, the driver will be provided a company vehicle, company cellular phone, and safety equipment. Ability to adapt to changing schedule.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting in vehicle.
- Ability to perform considerable reaching stooping and bending.
- Hearing and vision abilities with normal range to drive safely and to observe and communicate with clients.
- Exposure to a variety of weather conditions
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
