Golden Feather Union Elementary School District is seeking a .6 FTE Special Education Teacher to serve TK–8 students with mild to moderate disabilities. This is a part-time, site-based position at the Spring Valley School campus. This role is ideal for an educator who values strong relationships and making meaningful impact in a close-knit rural school community. Position Summary Under the direction of the Superintendent/Principal or designee, the Special Education Teacher provides specialized academic instruction and related services to students with identified disabilities. The teacher plans, implements, and evaluates instructional programs aligned with IEP goals, state standards, and legal requirements. Key Responsibilities Provide specialized instruction to TK–8 students with mild/moderate needs Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs (and 504s) in compliance with state and federal law Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and administrators Use student data to guide instruction and track progress toward IEP goals Support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth Maintain required documentation and participate in IEP meetings Part-time (.6 FTE) position with focused responsibilities (3 days per week or 5 part days) Small, supportive school environment High collaboration, low bureaucracy Opportunity to make a direct, visible difference for students and families
