Summary:
Maintain the cleanliness of the hotel grounds and to help ensure an attractive environment for our guests up to the department standards. Performs a wide variety of activities such as sweep, pick up trash and debris, clean public areas, and performs related duties as assigned.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness of hotel grounds
- Empty the trash and maintain their cleanliness
- Clean walkways and ensure there are no potential hazards
- Pick up trash and debris around the outside of the hotel
- Clean and dry wet and bio-hazard spills in accordance with company procedures as well as OSHA guidelines as they pertain to bio-hazard material
- Report all bio-hazard spills to the supervisor immediately
- Report all maintenance issues around the property and hotel areas to supervisor/inspector
- Understand and comply with job descriptions, daily memorandums, chemical labels and other instructions
- Respond quickly and courteously to all guest requests and complaints
- Follow directions thoroughly and to completion
- Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the position
- Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Three months related experience and/or training
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry, preferably Housekeeping
- Proven experience providing high level of guest service
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school graduate or equivalent vocational training
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal, in performance of job duties
- Knowledge of proper chemical handling
- Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
- Verify right to work in the United States

- Lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs and pushing, pulling or moving objects weighing up to 70 lbs
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, reach, stoop, and kneel (over 95% of the time)
- Ability to effectively communicate via radio
- Use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity and/or attention
- Ability to work for sustained periods of time maintaining concentrated attention to detail
- Outdoor 95% of the time or more
- Noisy
- Extreme hot and cold temperatures, including humidity, rain, hail, and wind
- Slippery surfaces and exposure to dust or other allergens
