Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, carpentry, painting, and other building systems.
Duties:
- Provide leadership, maintain work schedule, and supervision to the maintenance team
- Oversee and coordinate maintenance activities, including repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols
- Monitor equipment performance and identify areas for improvement
- Maintain life safety systems in compliance with fire codes and health department regulations.
- Participate in the facility Emergency Preparedness Program.
- Ensure backup generators and emergency systems are tested and operational.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Manage inventory of spare parts and equipment
- Collaborate with other departments to prioritize maintenance needs
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or projects
- Daily inspection
- Maintain facility compliance with Title 22 Skilled Nursing Facility regulations regarding physical plant safety and environmental services.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA workplace safety regulations, including hazard communication, lockout/tagout, and safe equipment operation.
- Ensure facility plant systems meet applicable HCAI/OSHPD building and construction requirements.
- Maintain documentation required for state inspections, life safety surveys, and facility audits.
- Participate in state surveys and respond to deficiencies related to the physical plant.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in maintenance supervision or a related role
- General knowlege of contruction and chiller/boiler systems
- Some small engine maintenance experience
