Overview
The Operations Assistant plays a pivotal, hands-on role in maintaining the renowned high standards of efficiency and service at Golden Door. This dynamic position provides essential experience by directly supporting core administrative, technical, and operational functions across the property.
You will be the vital link ensuring smooth daily function by handling financial documentation, coordinating vendor services, providing first-line technical support for digital systems, and overseeing audiovisual operations.

Key Responsibilities
Administrative & Financial Coordination
- Assist in maintaining essential financial documentation, including accurately processing purchase orders (POs), tracking departmental expenditures, and reconciling checkbooks to maintain strict adherence to accounting and budget standards.
Digital & Telecommunication Systems Support
- Act as the initial point of contact for in-house technical and telecom issues, providing swift resolution to minimize downtime and the necessity for external vendor support.
Vendor & Property Service Coordination
- Coordinate the logistics and scheduling for various vendor projects and ongoing property services, ensuring all work is completed efficiently and with minimal disruption.
Audiovisual Operations
- Set up, test, and operate all audiovisual systems for a range of functions, including private events, meetings, and company presentations.
Essential Qualifications
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in operations or administrative roles (hospitality background strongly preferred).
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Technical Proficiency: Expert knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Experience with basic IT troubleshooting and network support.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
The Operations Assistant role is active and requires the ability to perform the following tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Lifting and Moving: Frequently lift, carry, and move equipment, supplies, and materials weighing up to 30 pounds (e.g., audiovisual equipment, supplies for events, or small office furnishings).
- Mobility: Stand, walk, and traverse the property (including stairs and various flooring types) for extended periods to coordinate services, assist with troubleshooting, and manage vendor logistics.
- Dexterity and Operation: Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate computers, telecommunications devices, and audiovisual equipment.
- Physical Range: Occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or climb (e.g., to connect cables, set up equipment, or access supply areas).
- Visual Acuity: Ability to closely review documents, read computer screens, and distinguish between small electrical components (e.g., during AV setup).
