Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook hot meals according to established recipes, menus, and quality standards
• Ensure all food is handled, stored, and prepared in compliance with food safety regulations
• Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dishes and seasonal specials
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper knife skills and food prep stations
• Support catering events and special meal requests with professionalism and efficiency
• Serve meals promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and customer service
• Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, equipment use, and sanitation

Requirements

• Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within the food industry or restaurant environment
• Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
• Experience with dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus
• Skilled in meal preparation, menu planning, and fine dining techniques
• Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Prior experience in catering or food service environments preferred
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
• Enthusiasm for creating quality dishes that meet health standards and customer expectations

Pay: $12.50 - $13.00 per hour
