Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate beverage orders
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness of the dining area
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, special requests, and resolving any concerns professionally
- Handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations for billing purposes
- Support host/host duties when needed, including seating guests and managing reservations
Requirements
- Previous restaurant or food service experience, preferably in fine dining or nightclub settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and relations
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and revenue
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cashiering and billing accuracy
- Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is a plus but not required
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights; previous host/host or bussing experience is beneficial
- Strong communication skills and a professional appearance are essential
