Duties
- Assist in managing daily store operations, including shift management and customer service excellence
- Supervise and train team members on sales techniques, POS systems, inventory control, and merchandising standards
- Oversee employee orientation, onboarding, and ongoing training & development initiatives
- Conduct interviewing and recruiting activities to build a strong team workforce
- Handle payroll processing, bookkeeping, and cash handling procedures accurately
- Manage inventory levels through purchasing, stock replenishment, and inventory management systems
- Ensure proper pricing strategies are implemented and maintained across all product categories
- Support marketing efforts by executing promotional campaigns and visual merchandising plans
- Maintain organized records of sales data, store budgets, and other administrative documentation
- Uphold store policies regarding safety, cleanliness, and organizational standards
Requirements
- Proven management or assistant manager experience within retail or grocery environments
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate staff effectively
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
- Proficiency in retail math, POS systems, cashiering, and cash handling procedures
- Experience with inventory management, purchasing, pricing strategies, and stock control
- Skilled in employee orientation, training & development, and team management
- Ability to handle customer service issues professionally with phone etiquette expertise
- Organizational skills with attention to detail in bookkeeping and administrative tasks
- Knowledge of marketing strategies and merchandising principles
