Cashier/Drive Thru Packer

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while efficiently processing transactions. As a Cashier, you will play a vital role in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers in a fast-paced retail environment.

Duties

• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring proper cash management practices.
• Communicate effectively with customers to provide assistance and answer inquiries regarding products and services.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area to enhance the shopping experience.
• Assist in product demonstrations and promotions to encourage sales and inform customers about new items.
• Supervise junior staff during busy periods, ensuring smooth operations at the register.
• Utilize basic math skills to calculate totals, give change, and handle returns or exchanges as necessary.
• Uphold phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries related to store operations.

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with retail math concepts is advantageous for managing transactions effectively.
• Basic knowledge of POS systems is desirable; training will be provided as needed.
• Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with customers and team members.
• A willingness to learn about products and services offered in the store to better assist customers is important.
