Overview
The Clinical Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, coordination, and oversight of clinical services for Golden Belt Home Health and Hospice. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care in accordance with agency policies, regulatory guidelines, and the organization’s mission.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all clinical personnel providing home health and hospice care.
- Oversee patient care planning, coordination, assessment, and delivery of services.
- Monitor census, staffing levels, and operational indicators to support efficient service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including Joint Commission standards.
- Maintain accurate clinical records, documentation, and reporting systems.
- Hire, train, evaluate, and manage performance of clinical staff; conduct performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement orientation, in-service education, and staff development programs.
- Support budget planning and monitor resource allocation for clinical operations.
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
- Promote the agency and support referral development within the healthcare community.
- Serve as acting Executive Director in their absence and assume delegated authority as needed.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) with active licensure in the State of Kansas.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field; Master’s in healthcare or nursing preferred.
- Minimum of three years' experience in home health, hospice, or a related healthcare leadership role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Minimum of 1 year of management experience required.
- Working knowledge of Medicare Conditions of Participation, HIPAA, and Joint Commission standards.
- Valid driver’s license and insured, reliable transportation.
- CPR certification required.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of effectively managing teams in a clinical setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with staff, patients, and external stakeholders.
