Role Description The National Account Manager is a full-time, remote role. responsible for managing and growing key national accounts within the food manufacturing and foodservice sectors. This role involves developing and executing account strategies, maintaining strong customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities across assigned territories. The National Account Manager will negotiate pricing and contracts, prepare and deliver sales presentations, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate forecasting, timely order fulfillment, and high service levels. Daily activities include monitoring market trends, tracking account performance, addressing customer inquiries, and coordinating with operations, quality, and logistics to meet customer specifications and compliance requirements. The role also includes regular reporting on sales metrics, participation in industry events or customer visits, and supporting product launches and promotional initiatives.
Qualifications
Requires a strong
- work history of workimg woth national accounts of food manufacturres new business development and relationship management, within food ingredients, food manufacturing, or foodservice.
- Experience with pricing strategy, contract negotiation, and sales forecasting, with the ability to analyze sales data and market trends.
- Proficiency in customer communication, relationship building, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Working knowledge of supply chain, quality assurance, or regulatory requirements in the food industry (e.g., BRC, Kosher, Halal, traceability) is highly beneficial.
- Comfort with CRM tools and standard office software (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, ERP or CRM systems) for account tracking and reporting.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing multiple accounts or projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work remotley with occasional travel to customer locations, trade shows, or industry events as needed.
