Job Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and creative Preschool Teacher to join our team at Golden Bay Preschool. Our mission is to provide a nurturing environment where children feel safe to explore and learn. We are seeking a professional who understands that early childhood is a critical period for development and who is committed to fostering growth through play-based and structured learning. As a key member of our faculty, you will lead a classroom of young learners, ensuring their social, emotional, and physical needs are met daily.
Responsibilities
- Curriculum Leadership: Design and execute engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans covering literacy, math, science, and creative arts.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment that adheres to Title 22 regulations and promotes positive behavior.
- Child Development Tracking: Observe and document student progress, providing regular developmental updates and hosting parent-teacher conferences.
- Health & Safety: Ensure the well-being of all children by following strict sanitization protocols and supervising all indoor/outdoor activities.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with assistant teachers and administration to maintain a cohesive educational philosophy and supportive work culture.
- Parent Communication: Build strong, professional relationships with families through daily check-ins and digital communication tools.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Completion of at least 12 core units in Early Childhood Education (ECE) / Child Development (including Child/Human Growth & Development; Child, Family & Community; and Program/Curriculum).
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of professional experience working in a licensed child care center or preschool setting.
- Certifications: Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Clearances: Ability to pass a Department of Justice background check and provide a valid TB clearance.
- Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to stay patient and energetic throughout the school day.
Pay: $25.00 per hour
