Overview: The Application Support Specialist provides daily technical and user support for the Bank’s business applications, with a primary focus on lending and commercial loan origination systems. This position helps ensure stable system operations, timely issue resolution, accurate documentation, and effective coordination between business users, IT, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide application support for Jack Henry LoanVantage Commercial LOS, or similar commercial loan origination systems, including user issues, workflow questions, access support, testing, and vendor escalation.
- Support users with application issues, system errors, access questions, and workflow-related troubleshooting.
- Assist with application configuration, user access, security roles, maintenance tasks, and routine system administration under IT management direction.
- Monitor system performance, identify recurring issues, and escalate concerns to IT management or vendors as needed.
- Assist with testing, validation, and implementation of software updates, patches, system changes, and new features.
- Work with lending, loan operations, and other business departments to understand application issues and support daily operational needs.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal IT staff when escalation, research, or system intervention is required.
- Document troubleshooting steps, issue logs, support procedures, and user guidance materials.
- Assist with application testing, documentation, user coordination, and process improvement related to supported banking applications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in application support, technical support, helpdesk support, or a related role preferred.
- Experience supporting Jack Henry LoanVantage Commercial LOS, or a similar commercial loan origination system, is strongly preferred.
- Banking, lending, loan operations, or financial services application support experience preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to learn new systems quickly, follow structured procedures, and work with both technical and non-technical users.
- Ability to communicate clearly with business users, IT staff, and software vendors, while managing multiple support requests in a professional manner.
