Job Summary
The Child Care Center Assistant Director plays a crucial role in supporting the overall management and operation of the center. Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of educational programs that meet the needs of children and families.
- Support the Director in administrative tasks, including budgeting, scheduling, and compliance with licensing regulations.
- Supervise and mentor teaching staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development.
- Foster positive relationships with parents, addressing concerns and promoting open communication.
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety standards, conducting regular inspections, and implementing necessary improvements.
- Collaborate with community organizations to enhance program offerings and resources available to families.
- Participate in recruitment, hiring, and training of new staff members.
Qualifications
- Higher education teaching experience is preferred.
- Background in education administration is highly desirable.
- University experience related to child development or early childhood education is a plus.
- Proven teaching experience with a focus on early childhood education.
- Experience working with students in a childcare or educational setting is essential.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with staff, parents, and children.
