Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver high-quality classroom and lab instruction on phlebotomy techniques, medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and laboratory procedures.
- Supervise students during practical training in simulated environments ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
- Assess student performance through examinations, skill demonstrations, documentation reviews, and continuous feedback to support their professional growth.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and competency assessments in compliance with authorization standards.
- Stay current with advancements in phlebotomy, medical terminology, and related fields to ensure curriculum relevance and excellence.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in phlebotomy with a strong understanding of laboratory procedures, patient care, and acute care environments.
- Prior teaching or adult education experience in higher education settings, vocational training programs, or workplace settings.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and public health principles.
- Supervising experience in laboratory settings is highly desirable.
