POSITION AND PURPOSE
Under the general direction of the IT PMO Supervisor and the senior information technology team, the IT Senior Project Manager (IT Sr PM) is responsible for overall direction, implementation, execution, control, and project management of the IT deliverables of enterprise-wide projects, including the research and development of new concepts, ideas and applications ensuring consistency with credit union strategy, commitments, and goals to accelerate the achievement of business value. The role shapes, drives, and implements innovative approaches and solutions within and across the enterprise to achieve desired business outcomes. The IT Sr PM partners and consults with various technical and business partners to deliver iterative business value and achieve business strategy and objectives.

THE WORK
Golden 1 Responsibilites Include
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Management Information Systems or Computer Science is strongly preferred. Advanced Degree in Business Administration or other related area is preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum eight years of combined experience in project analysis, coordination, and management with a minimum of five years of experience directly managing projects. Experience managing moderate complexity projects end-to-end required, preferably in a financial institution.
Knowledge/Skills
INTERNAL: All levels of staff and management, including Senior Management.
EXTERNAL: Members, vendors, suppliers, government agencies, credit union industry associations and peers at other financial institutions.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work time includes weekend and after-hours time, based on organizational needs. This position works in-office where working conditions, lighting, temperature, audio, and workspace are all sufficient.
Physical Requirements
Work requires the ability to constantly operate a computer and the ability to read, type, and communicate. Work may require the ability to move work-related supplies weighing up to 10-15 pounds.

- Knowledge of financial products and services, especially as it relates to various delivery channels preferred.
- Knowledge of existing credit union products, services and overall operational guidelines.
- Strong knowledge of business analytical practices and methodologies and process improvement methodologies, e.g. Lean or Six Sigma a plus.
- Strong research, analytical, planning and organizational skills.
- Customer-focused attitude and ability to work proactively and efficiently.
- Supportive of all decisions, choices, goals and objectives as determined by PMO leadership and Executive leadership.
- Proven ability to evaluate key business objectives and develop appropriate action plans.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially MS Project, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
- Ability to use logical reasoning when making objective observations, examinations, evaluations and recommendations.
- Familiarity with common contractual language and contract negotiation.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is preferred.
- Experience working in Agile environments is strongly desired.
