Summary:
The Project Manager – Subject Matter Expert (SME) is responsible for leading and overseeing large-scale, complex projects and programs with significant organizational impact. This role serves as a strategic leader and primary point of accountability for project execution, ensuring alignment with mission objectives, contractual requirements, and stakeholder expectations.
Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary projects or programs
- Serve as the primary interface with senior leadership, government stakeholders, and customers
- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables in alignment with strategic goals
- Develop and manage integrated project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
- Oversee project performance, ensuring adherence to cost, schedule, and quality requirements
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Familiarity with cybersecurity, systems engineering, or IT programs is highly desirable
Minimum Qualifications:
- 10–15 years of project management experience, including leadership of large, complex programs
- Must have a Tier III Level Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Program Management Professional (PgMP) or equivalent
