CP Marine LLC is seeking a retired/former US Navy Information Warfare (IW) community subject matter expert (SME) for a contract position with a Navy customer in the Hampton Roads, Virginia area.
Summary
The Information Warfare SME II will provide essential technical support for planning, retention, and effective use of live virtual and constructive (LVC) resources in training and operations to the Department of Navy (DoN). They will have at least 10 years of afloat IW experience at the level of CWO/E-7 or above and must be eligible for a Top-Secret/SCI security clearance.
Essential Job Functions
- Design and develop IW scenarios, curricula, tabletop exercises, war games and vignettes reflective of the challenges presented by Great Power Competition
- Assist customer teams in developing capabilities which support Fleet training objectives
- Develop requirements for complex, multidomain, operationally relevant game scenarios that are intended to test operator decision-making processes
- Support scenario development focused on existing and emerging IW capabilities for employment in both high-fidelity, simulated environment and in serious game applications
- Liaise with software developers (Joint Cognitive Operation and Research Environment (JCORE)/Department of the Navy Modeling and Simulation (DoN M&S)) to ensure software development timelines are met and required capabilities are delivered
- Manage resources and schedules to maximize training opportunities for students, CSG/ARG staffs, and Fleet unit operators
- Conduct analyze game data, particularly focused on operator performance in the tactical challenges presented
- Assist software developers in utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to conduct computational analysis, studying the cognitive aptitude of players, shape training curricula, and develop automated tutors to assist in learning and experimentation
Necessary Skills and Knowledge
- Read and write fluently in English.
- Confident public speaker comfortable presenting to senior officers and government civilians.
- Demonstrated expertise in Navy IW operations and planning.
- Demonstrated experience developing/delivering US Navy training.
- Ability to collaborate with a team of technical software developers.
- Knowledge and understanding of applicable technical concepts and practices needed to support IW LVC Training.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office Suite applications (PPT, Word, Excel, Outlook).
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years afloat experience in the Navy IW community at the level of CWO / E-7 or above
- Experience developing and delivering training.
- Knowledge of and experience working with the Navy LVC training/operations framework.
- US citizenship required.
- Current background investigation with eligibility for a Top-Secret/SCI security clearance.
- Valid driver license (will be subject to verification).
- Associate of Arts (AA) degree from an accredited education institution or equivalent. (A High School (HS) degree or General Educational Development (GED) certificate plus an additional 4 years of afloat IW experience above and beyond the 10 years minimum will be considered equivalent for an AA degree).
