Duties
- Assist customers with product inquiries, provide knowledgeable recommendations, and ensure a positive shopping experience
- Stock shelves efficiently and maintaining optimal inventory levels
- Handle shipping and receiving tasks by loading and unloading merchandise safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including merchandising displays, packing areas, and storage spaces
- Support inventory management by conducting regular stock counts and updating records accurately
- Perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while following safe lifting practices to prevent injury
- Provide excellent customer service at checkout counters through cashiering duties and assisting with product packaging
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and maintain high standards of safety and organization
Qualifications
- Prior retail store experience or grocery store experience is highly preferred
- Strong communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and adhere to safe lifting practices
- Basic math skills for handling transactions, inventory counts, and stock calculations
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in stocking, merchandising, and maintaining store cleanliness
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, proactive attitude
