About us: Gold Stock USA Inc is part of a family precious-metals business with 150 years of history, operating in Canada, the USA, and Dubai. Our New York office sits in the heart of Manhattan's Diamond District at 580 Fifth Avenue. The role: You are the face of our shop. You'll greet walk-in customers, process gold, silver, and platinum buy/sell transactions, weigh and test precious metals (we train you), handle cash, verify IDs, keep clean transaction records, answer phones, and help with online order pickups. What we're looking for: - Warm, patient, and professional with customers — all kinds, all day - Punctual and reliable — on time, every shift, no exceptions - Cash-handling experience (bank teller, retail cashier, jewelry or pawn shop) - Comfortable with numbers and basic math - Fluent English; additional languages are a big plus - Trustworthy and discreet — you'll handle cash and valuables every day - Authorized to work in the US Strongly preferred: experience with gold bullion dealing or jewellery — bullion dealer, jewelry store, pawn shop, or refiner. Knowledge of karat gold and metal testing (acid/XRF) is a big plus. We'll train the right person on our systems.
