Northwest Distribution is a food service distribution company located in Emmet, Idaho. We are currently looking for a freezer/warehouse associate to participate in our warehouse operations and activities. Warehouse worker responsibilities include storing materials, picking, packing and preparing orders for shipment. Our goal is to increase efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
- Must be able to lift 50-75 lbs.
- Will be working in a cold environment varying from -10 - 40 degrees F (proper PPE supplied by employer).
- Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
- Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimise space utilisation
- Report any discrepancies
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
- Operate warehouse vehicles and equipment
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
- Exhibit a positive attitude and be a team player.
Skills
- Proven working experience as a warehouse worker
- Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Current forklift licence or ability to get certified
- High school degree or equivalent
- CDL or desire to get one is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $17.50 per hour
