Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and motivating Certified Personal Trainer specializing in group orientations to lead engaging fitness sessions for our members. In this role, you will introduce new members to our gym facilities, demonstrate effective workout techniques, and foster a positive environment that inspires confidence and enthusiasm. Your expertise in group fitness and personal training will help members kickstart their fitness journeys with confidence and excitement.
Duties
- Conduct dynamic group orientations, introducing new members to gym equipment, safety protocols, and class options
- Lead group fitness sessions incorporating diverse disciplines such as cycling, Pilates, yoga, dance, CrossFit, and kickboxing
- Demonstrate proper body mechanics, physiology principles, and anatomy knowledge to ensure safe exercise practices
- Design customized program plans tailored to individual fitness levels and goals during group sessions
- Educate members on the benefits of various fitness activities and motivate continued participation
- Promote gym memberships and personal training services through engaging teaching methods and excellent customer service
- Maintain a lively, supportive atmosphere that encourages member engagement and retention
- Lead 30-minute group orientation classes
- Work with small groups (up to 4 members per session)
- Classes are scheduled during peak gym hours
- 20–25 hours per week
Requirements
- Certification as a Personal Trainer from an accredited organization (e.g., NASM, ACE) or equivalent qualification
- Proven experience in group fitness instruction with knowledge of diverse disciplines including yoga, Pilates, cycling, sports coaching, or dance
- Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, body mechanics, and exercise program design
- Ability to teach with enthusiasm while ensuring safety standards are met at all times
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate a diverse range of participants
- Prior experience in health clubs or gyms is preferred but not required
- Passion for fitness education and helping others achieve their wellness goals
