Position Summary:
The Count Room Clerk is responsible for accurately counting, verifying, and recording cash and other monetary instruments in a secure environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to work efficiently while standing for extended periods. Must be a 21-year-old to apply.
The Count Room Clerk is responsible for accurately counting, verifying, and recording cash and other monetary instruments in a secure environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to work efficiently while standing for extended periods. Must be a 21-year-old to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately count and verify cash, coins, and other monetary items
- Maintain strict adherence to internal controls, procedures, and security protocols
- Record and report totals with a high level of accuracy
- Identify and report discrepancies or variances
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with regulatory requirements
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for the majority of the shift
- Frequent pushing, pulling, and bending
- Ability to lift and move items as needed
- Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in banking, cash handling, or the gaming industry preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling money
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, secure environment
- High level of integrity and reliability
Licensing Requirements:
- Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) license preferred
- Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an IGB license (assistance will be provided if not currently licensed)
Work days are, Monday - Wednesday, and Friday - Saturday. Off Thursday's and Sunday's.
