Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk
Location: Gold Rush, Hoffman Estates, IL
Job Type: Full-time, in office. 9 am till 5 pm.
Job Summary:
Gold Rush is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. This role is responsible for processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely payments while assisting with general accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable Duties:
- Process and verify invoices for accuracy, appropriate approvals, and coding to the correct accounts.
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices via check, ACH, or wire transfer.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintain organized accounts payable records and support documentation.
- Assist in managing corporate credit card reconciliations and expense reports.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive vendor relationships.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.
- Support additional accounting tasks as needed such as American Express details and commissions.
- Support general ledger maintenance and financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze accounts payable aging reports.
- Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and within a team.
