Duties
- Monitor inventory levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) and conduct regular stock audits to maintain accuracy.
- Support inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring proper documentation and timely processing.
- Operate yard trucks (yard dogs) safely to move trailers within the yard, supporting efficient loading and unloading activities.
- Assist with materials handling tasks, including heavy lifting and organizing stock in designated warehouse areas.
- Collect data on inventory movements, shipping & receiving activities, and process improvements for analysis.
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and supply chain teams to optimize stocking strategies and reduce discrepancies.
- Support process improvement initiatives by analyzing root causes of inventory issues and recommending solutions using tools like Excel data analysis.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement process improvements effectively.
- Knowledge of logistics inventory management, demand planning, procurement processes, and supply chain analytics.
- Capable of heavy lifting and materials handling; forklift experience.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills to coordinate with merchandising, production planning, and shipping teams.
