Gold Mech Inc. is looking for Commercial Plumbing Apprentices to join our team in Augusta, GA.
Job Summary
Assembles, installs and repairs plumbing systems according to specifications and appropriate trade and building codes. These systems may consist of pipes, fittings, and fixtures of various plumbing systems.
We are the only contractor in the CSRA that offer a state audited four-year plumbing apprenticeship using the PHCC curriculum. This apprenticeship allows less experienced employees the ability to learn the skills of the trade in a structured, efficient manner which allows for career advancement. This apprenticeship program is the equivalent to a trade school that is structured so employees are able to learn a trade while also being paid to work.
Essential Duties
- Assist a mechanic or plumber in completing job tasks
- Use small power and hand tools as required to perform job tasks
- Push, pull, climb, crawl, squat, or lift up to 50 lbs.
- Follow all safety guidelines and regulations
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months of plumbing experience preferred
- Ability to use small power and hand tools
- Physically capable of performing duties, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Must be willing and able to learn and develop skills
- Strong work ethic and commitment to job tasks
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Reliable and dependable
