Retail Sales Associate / Liquor Store Clerk

Job Description

Gold Label Wine & Liquor, a family-owned wine and spirits store in Beacon, NY, is looking for a dependable, friendly, and motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our team.

This position starts at a minimum of 20 hours per week, with opportunities for additional hours based on performance, reliability, and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional customer service.
• Operate the POS register and accurately process transactions.
• Assist customers with product selections and inquiries.
• Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and maintain product displays.
• Receive deliveries and assist with inventory management.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store.
• Verify customer identification and comply with New York State alcohol sales regulations.
• Assist with opening, closing, and daily store operations.

Qualifications

• Retail or cashier experience preferred, but not required.
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 40 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Basic computer and POS skills preferred.
• Wine and spirits knowledge is a plus.
• Must meet applicable New York State age requirements for alcohol retail employees.

Schedule

• Minimum 20 hours per week to start.
• Evening and weekend availability preferred.
• Additional hours may become available based on performance and store needs.
