Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform maintenance activities in the guest room including, unclogging drains and fixtures, painting, minor drywall repairs, repairing and/or reporting maintenance needs to all types of hotel hardware and electrical equipment including lamps, air conditioners/HVAC
- Complete scheduled and as-needed maintenance of the hotel
- Program TV's and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties
- Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment
- Clean, lubricate, protect, and otherwise maintain all tools, equipment, and fixtures in the hotel
- Proactively evaluate room and corridor fitness and complete or assist in the performance of regular preventive maintenance procedures
- Must act in an engineering capacity to protect guests and associates and preserve the building and its systems during the emergency
- Maintain brand standards as established or modified for all common area and in-room furniture, fixtures, and equipment
- Prioritize and organize work assignment to minimize downtime and periods of inactivity
- Work under pressure driven situations and exercise good judgement
- Focus on attention on detail while completing tasks with speed and accuracy
- Maintain confidentiality of hotel guests and pertinent hotel information
- Ensure security of guest room access and hotel property
- Read and understand test equipment, measuring devices, and safety manuals
- Carry out specific oral and written instructions
- Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed
- Train and instruct other members of the staff through sharing of knowledge and skills
- Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager
Skills, Education and Other Requirements:
- Basic reading and writing abilities
- Ability to work safely with power equipment and tools
- Proficient in life safety systems operation and resetting
- Must be able to understand and follow MSDS sheets
- Know the location of all safety equipment how to use the safety equipment and check safety equipment
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Basic computer skills
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Work Experience
- General maintenance experience preferred
- Identification that establishes identity
- Identification that establishes the right to work in the United States
- Registered with Nevada Gaming Control Board
