DUTIES:
Wear proper personal protective equipment such as, earplugs, gloves, safety eyeglasses and smock. Keep hands
away from moving parts. Use proper lifting techniques. Always keep assigned area clean and organized. Report
any accidents, unsafe equipment or area to the line leader or supervisor.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE
HOUSEKEEPING PERSONNEL:
Performs cleaning and custodial duties across various areas including offices, break rooms, restrooms,
warehouses, industrial zones, and other building interiors. May assist in the production line when needed.
Tasks include sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors using industrial
cleaning equipment. Occasionally uses ladders to dust and wash walls, clean ceilings, and polish light fixtures.
Responsible for washing and replacing blinds, as well as moving furniture, boxes, and equipment to access
cleaning areas. Removes stains from surfaces such as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using appropriate
chemicals and cleaning solutions. May also handle seasonal tasks like sweeping walkways, raking leaves,
cutting grass and removing snow. Cleans restrooms and maintains overall cleanliness. Additionally, this role
supports the production of safe, legal, and authentic products that meet customer quality expectations. It
involves assisting with the implementation and ongoing improvement of all Quality Management programs and
procedures, as well as enforcing BRC-related standards.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Clock in at the designated time clock. Retrieve necessary materials from the supply room. If required
to work in the production area, ensure proper personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn,
Including earplugs, safety glasses, and a smock. Thoroughly wash hands before donning gloves on
both hands to begin work in the production area. Adhere to the instructions and guidance provided
By the Line Leader or Supervisor.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Employee will walk 100% of the time. Reaching, lifting, bending and twisting all the time. Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment at all times. May lift up to 30 pounds if needed, but not very often.
ENVIRONMENT:
Poultry processors work in cold, damp conditions (40° to 50° degrees) to prevent the meat from spoiling. Work area surfaces are wet and slippery 100% of the time. Because processors work with knives and sharp machinery, there is a risk of accidental injuries, ranging from minor cuts to finger or limb amputations.
EDUCATION:
Minimum education required. Must be able to understand basic instructions from the lead/supervisor.
