SUMMARY: Responsible for creating design solutions that have a high visual impact. Graphic Designer is obligated to develop creative ideas and concepts, choosing the appropriate media and style to meet the casino’s objectives. The job demands creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Responsible for the aesthetic quality of all digital marketing promotions
- Aesthetic advisor for all aspects of design and art on property.
- Interpreting the casino’s business needs and developing concepts and designs to suit their purpose
- Estimating the time required to complete the work
- Developing design briefs by gathering information and data through research
- Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts
- Using innovation to redefine a design or promotion within the constraints of cost and time
- Presenting finalized ideas, concepts, and design to the Marketing Team
- Working with a wide range of media, including photography, video recording, social media, digital signage software, video editing, motion graphics and effects, and basic sound recording and mixing
- Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work
- Contributing ideas and designs to the overall advertising campaigns and promotions
- Demonstrating illustrative skills with rough sketches or rapidly produced concepts and mockups.
- Working on specific layouts and optimizing artwork for print
- Keeping abreast of emerging technologies in new media, particularly design programs such as Illustrator, After Effects, Photoshop, Premiere, Audition, Dreamweaver, InDesign, and Flash
- Developing interactive design and art optimized for email, social media, and web use
- Working as part of a team with Art Agencies, Print Agencies, Entertainers, Account Executives, Web Developers, eMarketers, Social Media Specialist, Entertainment Team, Player Development Team, and Marketing Director.
- Able to work under pressure, prioritize task, and use excellent time management and organizational skills
- Apply best practices for file management, digital workflow, pipeline organization, sending collateral, and backing up all art asset
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or Experience: BA in Design, Computer Graphics, or similar required. Experience in Graphic Design, above and beyond that required below, may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis. Photography schooling and an online portfolio preferred. Editing, video recording and basic sound mixing experience preferred. Any supplementary motion graphic or effects knowledge, including 3D, is preferred.
Special Qualifications:
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required. Must possess a working knowledge of advertising/marketing principles and be capable of applying it to various special projects and player development events. A strong sense of Design with emphasis on composition, balance, layout, typography, and color is required. A foundation in traditional arts in addition is preferred.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as design specifics, art requests and software instructions, and hardware manuals. Ability to produce proofs and write correspondence and understand all art/design related industry terminology. Basic html coding knowledge preferred.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables.
