Quality Control Technician

Gold Coast Ingredients, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of food flavors and colors.

We have an IMMEDIATE POSITION AVAILABLE at our manufacturing facility in Gilbert, Pennsylvania for Q.C. Technician.

The position is responsible for performing quality audits on products and procedures at various points during receiving, production and packaging to ensure adherence to company quality standards.

Duties and responsibilities to include:

• Perform QC tasks including product sampling, line monitoring, auditing, lab testing and calibration to ensure compliance to specifications

• Responsible for placing product on hold that does not meet company quality standards and providing appropriate disposition

• Understand all of the information contained with a product specification sheet

• Conduct lab testing procedures such as brix, refractory index, sensory, weights, moisture testing, etc.

Position requirements:

• Q. C. Lab Technician experience (1-3 years), preferably in the food manufacturing industry, to include knowledge/proficiency with PH meters, UV visual, measurement equipment, viscosity gauges

• Gas Chromatography experience a plus

• Skilled in quality processing including tasting, collection and recording production processes and recording samples testing

• BA/BS degree in Chemistry or related science field or AA degree in related field or equivalent preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required

• Must be able to pass background check

• Must be available to work one day on weekend, rotating schedule

• Must be able to wear a respirator

Compensation: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 hours per week
