Position: Office Assistant

Location: Fort Dodge, IA

Reports to: Administrative Manager

We are currently seeking full-time Office Assistant position at our Gold Bond Building Products facility in Fort Dodge, Iowa. We offer a comprehensive benefit package and excellent pay. Based at our Gold Bond Building Plant at our Fort Dodge, IA location, this position will successfully execute administrative responsibilities in addition to providing support to the Office/HR Manager. Additional duties are outlined below.

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (NOT ALL INCLUSIVE):

  • Process purchase orders, receivers and invoices accurately and efficiently in SRM/SAP
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve open items
  • Assist with sales/use tax and tax exemption certificates when applicable
  • Assist with employee relations tasks related to attendance, plant meals, updating plant communications boards and tv
  • Process hourly payroll, verify vacation request forms, run and verify weekly reports for accuracy and maintain weekly occurrence reports
  • Maintain mobile equipment files
  • Verify daily board plant, quarry and plaster production reports to reports in SAP
  • Record retention coordinator for plant
  • Maintain vendor certificates of insurance
  • Assist Administrative Manager with other duties as assigned
  • Purchasing supplies and maintaining inventories

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or 3-5 years office related experience
  • Proficient in Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter, team player and ability to manage time
  • Willing to cross-train in other areas
  • Payroll, SRM and SAP knowledge a plus!

Pay: $23.70 - $29.80 per hour
