Job Overview

The Business Development Manager is a vital outside sales professional responsible for driving revenue growth by expanding strategic accounts and capturing new business within a designated region. Reporting to the Director of Sales, you’ll prospect high-value clients, build relationships, and collaborate with Sales Engineers and Customer Success Managers to secure and grow complex deals. This role is essential to strengthening our market presence, fostering long-term partnerships, and supporting our sales goals through strategic outreach. Key Responsibilities

Expand Strategic Accounts in Region

  • Prospect clients to grow accounts—e.g., researching property firms and meeting decision- makers for deals.
  • Secure contracts to boost revenue—e.g., negotiating system installs and tracking quarterly growth.

Driving New Business Development

  • Identify opportunities to expand reach—e.g., analyzing regional trends and targeting high- potential sectors.
  • Convert prospects to drive sales—e.g., cold-calling leads weekly and presenting solutions at meetings.

Collaborate with Sales and Service Teams

  • Partner with engineers for technical support—e.g., aligning on proposal designs and confirming project specs.
  • Work with CSMs to ensure growth—e.g., coordinating account plans and supporting post- sale expansion.

Maintain Sales Pipeline and Forecasting

  • Build pipeline to fuel opportunities—e.g., adding prospects monthly and logging progress in CRM.
  • Forecast revenue to plan success—e.g., projecting quarterly sales and analyzing pipeline stages.

Represent GoKeyless at Industry Events

  • Attending events to generate leads—e.g., presenting at expos and networking with industry leaders.
  • Follow up to secure deals—e.g., contacting event prospects and delivering tailored proposals.

Ensure Client Satisfaction and Deal Success

  • Confirm proposals to meet client needs—e.g., reviewing contracts for alignment and addressing pre-sale concerns.
  • Support transitions for satisfaction—e.g., coordinating with CSMs for onboarding and gathering initial feedback.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 3 years in outside sales or business development—demonstrated ability to secure strategic accounts and drive new business effectively.
  • Proven prospecting and relationship-building skills—e.g., closing 5 high-value deals annually with new clients.
  • Experience in the security access and hardware industry a plus—knowledge of access solutions enhances market penetration.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite (ERP/CRM), Shopify, RingCentral, Intercom, and Microsoft Office 365—proficiency expected, with CRM experience a plus for pipeline management and forecasting.
