Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for a Senior Aerospace Engineer located in Dayton, OH. In this role, the Senior Aerospace Engineer will participate in, or lead, the design, analysis, and development of advanced hypersonic vehicles and propulsion systems. Daily responsibilities include conducting aerodynamics and systems engineering analyses, optimizing aircraft and spacecraft designs, overseeing projects from concept to prototype, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to testing in wind tunnel facilities. The role involves both technical leadership and collaboration to advance cutting-edge aerospace technologies.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Aerodynamics and Aerospace Engineering.
- Proficiency in Systems Engineering principles and methodologies.
- Experience with design and development of Aircraft and Spacecraft systems.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with hypersonic propulsion and airframe integration is a significant advantage.
- Effective teamwork and leadership abilities with excellent communication skills.
- Enjoys making plans and/or help coordinating execution.
- Eligibility to obtain U.S. security clearances is required.
