Position Overview:
The Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for the daily maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and automated equipment used in warehouse operations. This role plays an important part in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing operational downtime, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
The ideal candidate has hands-on mechanical maintenance experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to independently identify and resolve equipment issues. This position requires flexibility to work different shifts and respond to emergency maintenance and repair needs as required.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment, machinery, and automation systems to ensure reliable and efficient operation.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform timely repairs to minimize operational downtime.
- Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and scheduled servicing according to established maintenance plans.
- Monitor equipment condition and identify potential mechanical issues before they result in equipment failure.
- Perform mechanical assembly, disassembly, adjustment, replacement, and repair of equipment components as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment inspections, repairs, maintenance activities, and service history.
- Report equipment conditions, recurring issues, and maintenance needs to management.
- Work closely with warehouse operations and other internal teams to support smooth equipment and system operations.
- Assist with equipment installation, upgrades, modifications, and improvement projects as needed.
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintenance protocols while performing repairs and equipment servicing.
- Respond to emergency equipment issues and repair requests in a timely manner.
- Complete other maintenance-related duties and projects as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements:
- Mandarin proficiency is required.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience in mechanical equipment maintenance, repair, or a related field.
- Ability to independently diagnose mechanical problems, troubleshoot equipment issues, and perform repairs.
- Solid understanding of mechanical systems, equipment structures, and preventive maintenance procedures.
- Proficiency in using common maintenance tools and equipment.
- Ability to perform mechanical assembly and disassembly safely and accurately.
- GED or high school diploma required; education or training in mechanical, industrial, maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with a responsible and safety-conscious approach to work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond effectively to equipment failures and urgent repair needs.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
