Role Description
We are seeking a proactive, growth‑oriented Sr. Staff Accountant who is motivated to make a meaningful impact on our organization. You will play a key role in our financial operations, lead critical month end processes, and help strengthen our financial infrastructure as we continue to grow.
Core Responsibilities
Financial Operations & Month-End Close
- Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial data.
- Prepare and post journal entries with supporting documentation.
- Reconcile bank, intercompany, and balance sheet accounts.
Reconciliation & Compliance
- Perform detailed reconciliation of subledgers, including AR, AP, inventory, and other supporting schedules.
- Prepare and file sales tax returns in compliance with state and local regulations.
- Maintain adherence to GAAP and internal controls.
Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze monthly financial results, identifying trends and variances.
- Prepare clear, insightful financial reports to support decision-making.
Operational Support
- Apply customer payments and manage past‑due receivables within the AR function.
- Review, validate, and submit weekly payroll hours.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of general ledger management, month-end close, and compliance with accounting principles
- Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups); Experience with Sage and a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication
- Actively seeks to learn new skills, tools, and technologies that enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced setting
Salary Range: $75k-$100k
