Summary
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer at GoerTek Santa Clara office to work on the latest consumer electronics products. This role works closely with customers and internal teams on product development from concept to mass production.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with cross functional teams to define mechanical design for consumer electronics products.
- Host technical discussion meetings, propose meeting agenda and lead from US side for meeting preparations.
- Facilitate and monitor design and tooling discussions, DFM progress, failure analysis, etc.
- Identify and resolve conflicts efficiently, set priorities to moving things forward.
- Effectively and consistently communicate overall program status to all stakeholders, highlight risks/opportunities to leadership team.
- Build close relationship with customer technical teams and drive company support satisfaction improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 8 years of industrial technical experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of prototyping techniques.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing techniques, such as injection molding, stamping, assembly, SMT, etc.
- Working knowledge of production and quality control methodology in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills.
- Fluent in Mandarin is highly desirable.
- Travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.
- The base pay range for this role is between $120,000.00 to $177,000.00 annually and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Salary : $120,000 - $177,000
