Job Summary: The Institutional Client Analyst is responsible for the operational execution and support of the IAS team. This role ensures efficient delivery of institutional products and services, manages internal processes, and supports strategic and analytical initiatives.

Key Operational Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research and analysis for strategic planning projects, including asset allocation studies, spending policy analysis, risk analysis, and investment policy development. 
  • Perform ongoing due diligence on investment managers, maintain documentation, and produce analytical reports for internal use and client-facing deliverables.  
  • Support senior advisors by preparing investment performance reports and other client materials as needed 
  • Assist in educating institutional clients on market developments, investment strategies, and portfolio positioning through clear, concise communication and well-prepared materials. 
  • Monitor financial markets and industry news to identify emerging trends and provide timely insights that enhance client discussions and strategic planning. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate data management, reporting consistency, and compliance with regulatory and firm standards. 
  • Work proficiently across Tamarac Reporting, Tamarac Trading, Morningstar Direct, and CRM systems to support IAS team. 
  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of RFP support materials, audit confirmations, and customized account reporting for client and prospect meetings.  
  • Support account opening and asset transfer processes in collaboration with the Client Service team.  
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy. 
  • Work collaboratively across all line of business – Investment Management, Private Client, Operations and Institutional Advisory Services.  
  • Perform additional services as appropriate to meet and exceed each client’s needs and expectations. 

Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required:
  • Superior organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail; proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in fast-paced environments. 
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and critical thinking skills; adept at interpreting complex data and delivering clear, client-facing outputs. 
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to quickly master CRM and reporting platforms such as Envestnet Tamarac, Portfolio Center, and Morningstar Direct. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; skilled in documentation and fostering collaboration across small teams and cross-functional environments. 
  • Demonstrates initiative, creativity, sound judgment, and maturity with a steady, no-drama approach; dedicated to professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality. 
  • Thrives in dynamic environments; enjoys setting and achieving goals, multitasking, and maintaining quality and consistency under time constraints. 
  • Passionate about providing proactive, practical advice and supporting team members in achieving objectives; values corporate structure and collaborative improvement.

Education:
  • Minimum Required: High School Diploma; pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Finance.
  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience in operations, management, or the financial industry preferred.
