Early Childhood Teacher

God's Little Treasures Childcare & Preschool Center is a well-established, faith-based early learning center dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. We are currently seeking compassionate, dependable, and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Early Childhood Teachers/Childcare Professionals.

Position Summary

As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a warm, welcoming, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment that fosters each child's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth. Working collaboratively with fellow staff members, you will plan and implement engaging educational activities while ensuring the safety and well-being of every child in your care.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and daily activities that support children's developmental milestones.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and respected.
• Supervise children at all times while maintaining a positive, organized, and engaging classroom atmosphere.
• Encourage learning through play, hands-on experiences, music, art, literacy, math, science, and sensory activities.
• Foster children's social, emotional, language, and cognitive development through meaningful interactions and guidance.
• Use positive behavior management strategies to promote self-regulation, cooperation, and respect among children.
• Observe, monitor, and document children's progress and developmental achievements.
• Maintain open, professional, and positive communication with parents and guardians regarding their child's growth and daily experiences.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to ensure consistency in programming and classroom management.
• Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and required trainings.
• Assist with meal times, restroom routines, outdoor play, and other daily classroom responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience working in a childcare center, preschool, or early childhood education setting is required.
• Ability to obtain all required Pennsylvania background clearances prior to employment.
• Ability to complete all required Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) certifications, professional development courses, and ongoing training.
• Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Dependable, punctual, flexible, and committed to maintaining a high standard of professionalism.
• Ability to lift, carry, and actively engage with young children throughout the day.
