Job Overview
The Shipping and Receiving/ Customer Support is responsible for handling all aspects of incoming and outgoing shipments. This includes verifying and recording incoming and outgoing shipments, preparing items for delivery, ensuring accuracy of orders, and maintaining inventory records. The role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Receive and verify incoming shipments against packing slips, invoices, or purchase orders.
· Pull parts for equipment build
· Inspect incoming components to verify quality, aesthetics, and quantities
· Pick up parts at local vendors as needed
· Ship and receive customer parts for impregnation processing
· Create customer orders as needed (convert from estimate)
· Load/unload trucks
· Stage, label, and organize inventory in designated storage locations to ensure efficient retrieval
· Unpack, receive, and properly store incoming materials, supplies, and products
· Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments according to company and carrier standards
· Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely
· Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving transactions
· Coordinate with carriers and vendors to schedule pickups and deliveries
· Track and resolve shipping discrepancies or damages
· Assist with cycle counts and inventory management
· Keep the shipping and receiving area clean, safe, and organized
· Support operations support specialist as necessary
· Ship items as necessary via UPS, FedEx, and Freight
· International shipment of hazardous substances
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
· Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
· Knowledge of shipping procedures, documentation, and inventory control.
· Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
· Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, warehouse management systems).
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Good communication and teamwork abilities.
· Forklift certification a plus
