Job Summary

Works independently, exercising initiative and independent judgment in the construction, troubleshooting, repair, installation, commissioning, and general servicing/maintenance of electro/mechanical equipment. Completes field and in-house assignments and manages time effectively to ensure that time billed is appropriate and profitable. Represents Godfrey and Wing professionally at all times, providing both internal and external customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Layout, Assembly, and Wiring of industrial panels (Main, Operator Consoles, and Junction) per electrical schematics
  • Layout back panels, drill mounting holes, mount components, wire, identify/label per electrical schematics
  • Layout Operator Consoles, drill/punch/saw, mount components, wire, identify/label per electrical schematics
  • Manufacture electrical cable assemblies per electrical schematics
  • Field wiring of all external components and sub-panels to the main panel
  • Route, cut, install sealtite, cable trays, cables, cords per electrical schematics
  • Monitor, receive/check-in, inventory electrical components to ensure all components are ready for installation and assembly per project schedule
  • Validate electrical connections per electrical schematics
  • Troubleshoot and correct wiring errors
  • Troubleshoot and correct equipment malfunctions
  • Read and markup Electrical and Mechanical drawings as required, identifying any deviation from electrical schematics
  • Support project engineers during equipment start-up in Aurora, OH, and in the field
  • Proficient in the use of manufacturing methods and tools – welding, cutting, drilling, tapping, and painting
  • Adhere to safety guidelines including LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) protocol
  • Provide day-to-day support and guidance on Build projects
  • Serve as a technical point of contact for Build Team members – reviewing drawings and coaching team members through the build process
  • Drive projects to meet schedules communicated by the Build Team Supervisor
  • Ensure all employees follow safe work practices, identify hazards, proactively assess risks, and report all incidents to the Build Manager
  • Communicate personnel issues to the Build Team Supervisor
  • Communicate project issues to the Build Team Supervisor (e.g., missing components, engineering changes, scheduling conflicts, resource needs, etc.)
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Receive and verify incoming shipments against packing slips, invoices, or purchase orders
  • Pull parts for equipment build
  • Ship and receive customer parts for impregnation processing
  • Inspect incoming components to verify quality, aesthetics, and quantities
  • Support operations support specialist as necessary

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Education:  High school diploma or GED. Certification from college or technical school preferred.
  • Experience:  Equipment building experience for special/custom equipment and machinery. 1 years related electro-mechanical industrial maintenance. Familiarity with Microsoft Office products (especially Word and Excel).
  • Skills/Knowledge:   Must be able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced. environment. Ba Must be able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced sic welding skills a plus. Clean driving record required
  • Working Conditions:  Repeated standing/walking throughout plant floor most of the day. In the summer months, the work environment can be hot and humid.
  • Physical Demands:  Intermittent lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Travel:  Must be able to travel at least 20% of the time. Must obtain a U.S. Passport within 45 days of being hired.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
