What are the responsibilities and job description for the Executive Compensation Attorney position at Godfrey & Kahn, S.C.?
We are looking for a talented senior level executive compensation attorney to join our tax and employee benefits practice in our Milwaukee office. A minimum of 10 years’ experience in the executive compensation area is required. Experience with equity compensation and nonqualified benefit plan design, and benefits related transactional experience is desired. Public company executive compensation disclosure expertise is a plus.
Our executive compensation practice counsels employers and executives in all aspects of compensation planning and equity incentive arrangements. With clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to small businesses. private equity, and executives or executive management teams, we have extensive experience managing sophisticated compensation plan issues that arise every day, and we devote a significant portion of our practice to issues that arise during mergers and acquisitions.
We offer clients efficient, creative, and forward-thinking legal advice related to the design, taxation, compliance and governance, implementation and negotiation of executive compensation arrangements.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Wisconsin State Bar or eligibility for admission by waiver.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in legal research and analysis.
- Strong drafting and reviewing skills.
