Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and grooming.
- Implement care plans tailored to individual client needs, ensuring adherence to prescribed routines.
- Monitor and document vital signs and overall health status of clients.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client’s mental well-being.
- Assist with mobility and lifting as needed to ensure client safety.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care and address any changes in client condition.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients in home care or facility settings.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance caregiving skills.
Experience
- Prior experience in long-term care, nursing homes, senior care, or hospice care is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques and ability to follow care plans effectively.
- Experience in home care settings is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
